This unique buffet is actually a kitchen island. The construction and design are original.
The frame has the deep inlay cutouts, giving a layered molding style to the edges of the
frame and also to the hand painted inset panels.
The front of the island has an extended
end that has a conclave cabinet with shelves and is constructed by having each corner with long
rectangular inlay cutouts. The same decorative style is along the long sides, with the lighter
panels being framed by the rectangular inlay cutouts.
All the inlayed panels have the original handpicked motifs.
The long rectangular ones,
being the same color as the frame, have a subtle wispy flowing vine, while the lighter toned
panels being the cabinet doors on the side, have a detailed grouping of fruit that is
hanging from a delicate ribbon, giving a romantic appearance. Even the light toned top
front panels have a matching fruit motif.
The counter is quality rubber wood top
with a glass-like lacquer finish.
